Our Travel Journey Update

A lot has changed since I’ve last posted a blog post on here. Since the last time I’ve written a post, we ended up making some changes and now we own a Jayco Travel Trailer PLUS we’ve relocated across the country – from Arizona to Florida! I’m currently working on a practical method where I am able to combine working on our YouTube channel (social media and website included), my actual work, our RV renovation, and homeschooling more effectively.

So first things first – what have we been up to?!

Well since our last video that we uploaded to YouTube which was our trip to the Phoenix Zoo, we went to Mexico and then took a roadtrip to head out East. Unfortunately, the motor on our #vanlife died a week after getting the head gasket replaced so we now own a travel trailer which I’m currently renovating. Once I’m done renovating, we’ll hit the road again! For now, we’re enjoying the RV resort that we’re at and having fun where we are.

What I’ve learned is that everything may happen for a reason, but my outlook on things matter the most. I didn’t realize how much we would actually enjoy vanlife, honestly. We thoroughly enjoyed the experiences and opportunities given in that van and we’re looking forward to more adventures with our RV! This lifestyle is definitely different than living in apartments and I’ll make another video detailing WHY I chose this nomadic lifestyle over what we had, comparing the cost of living, ownership, and more.

Also, I want to get your input. What would you like for me to film or write about? Are you interested in a nomadic lifestyle? Do you have a skoolie, van, rv, tent, car camp, etc setup or want to share your channels/pages so we can follow along your journey?

I would love to connect with you all as well and build a community amongst us all. I know for sure that I don’t have the “end all and be all” way, but together we can all learn from each other and grow!

Thank you all for your patience while I’ve been getting everything together and we really appreciate everyone’s support! 🙂

I’d like to know the internet provider you use. I want to become a nomad and retire. I plan to teach English online. I’m a certified teacher who came late to the game. I asked this question previously; I’m not sure where to find your reply. I live in Florida. Thanks, Wanda

Hi Wanda! I apologize for the delayed response. I had my response written out and then everything disappeared (I’m honestly not sure how it refreshed lol). To answer your question about the hotspot, I used this device: https://tinyurl.com/y5264lq5. I recommend comparing plans with different phone carriers. I had AT&T until we moved here to Florida and I realized it didn’t work where we are. AT&T and T-Mobile don’t work well where we are, but I’ve heard Verizon Wireless works well. The RV Reort we’re at has free basic Wi-Fi which does work for my job needs, however, I’ve met people here that have stated they’ve had to opt for Comcast because the internet offered here wouldn’t work for phone support service needs. With more schools moving to virtual classrooms, if you want to continue working as a teacher (or you can probably be a tutor if you only want to do it part-time), then there are plenty of remote opportunities for you. I hope this info helps!
